For Shirley, a call during Mardi Gras was the moment everything changed. Like many, she had skipped her annual mammogram during the pandemic, but a physician at the Mammoth Hospital Women’s Clinic insisted she schedule one right away.
The hospital's advanced 3D tomosynthesis machine detected a stage one mass. After successful treatment, Shirley is now cancer-free and embracing life with new gratitude. In the spring of 2024, she traveled to Italy and Greece with her children.
